Impact Together! is a project launched by Impact Europe (formerly EVPA) and funded by the European Union that aims to bring together impact investors and the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in order to strengthen its action in the MENA region by improving access to finance and building the capacity of social enterprises.
The overall objective of Impact Together! is to strengthen and promote the social economy as a vehicle for job creation and economic opportunity expansion, leading to a more inclusive economy in the Mediterranean region.
As a local partner of Impact Together!, HAPPY SMALA carries out activities aimed at developing social entrepreneurship and high-impact finance in Morocco and building new bridges to the regional ecosystem.

Why an impact fund?
- HAPPY SMALA has developed as an unconventional entity: from a crowdfunding platform to an innovation lab, and today it is embarking on the creation of an impact fund. With roots in Morocco and branches across Africa, we continue to evolve to meet the challenges of our time.
- Our mission remains unchanged: to accelerate the emergence of the social and ecological economy through innovative policies, programs, partnerships, and financing models.
- This fund, currently being structured, aims to strengthen our capacity for action by supplementing existing non-financial support with catalytic capital. It aims to create collective momentum around innovative co-investment mechanisms and shared impact management standards.

Committed entrepreneurs!
The first cohort brought together seven impact companies with between two and ten years of experience. All of them have a social and environmental impact on local communities and at the national level. Four of them received funding from Happy Smala.
Get ready and stay tuned: the second cohort of the Impact Together! program is coming soon. It will bring together 35 committed entrepreneurs with innovative projects operating in a variety of impact areas.
Crowdfunding Barometer 2021-2023
The 2021-2023 Crowdfunding Barometer for Morocco has been created thanks to the “Impact Together!” program, in partnership with Impact Europe and funded by the European Union. This edition aims not only to provide an overview of developments in crowdfunding, but also places a particular focus on its use in providing critical assistance to victims of the earthquake in the Al Haouz region in September 2023.
